Although this is above ground it is actually the underground. Well its the 'tube' as the underground system is referred to here. I can never work out from which direction the train will come. In Paris the metro always comes from the left. How about other cities?
Is it the same? London totally mystifies me is there something I haven't figured out or is it as I find it, a lottery at every station.

I can't answer your question, but I love the photo ... looks excellent, especially when enlarged.
The "T" :) always comes from the left here, too.
Haha! Not always, Fenix. At North Station, the Green Line T comes from the right! LOL.
And, it is tricky to figure out which direction the Tube comes from. I began to get used to it, though, and the more you get familiar with where you are and where you are going, the more you will learn it. It just takes time.
Actually, I can think of several places where the T in Boston comes from the right...
Alls I know is this - when you feel the wind coming down the tunnel, don't stick your head out over the yellow line to look for the light. It just might be coming behind you and WHACK! You've got a headache - if you're lucky enough to still have a head ;)
Great photo.

I love your photos! Some days I feel homesick for London even though I've only visited once. It is a blessing to see a place that I can't get to now, but hope to more in the future. Thanks for the great pictures of people and places there.

Just don't stray on the tracks and you'll be fine!
just check to see what end of the platform has the red/green light and the train'll be coming from the other way :)
