After nearly a 100 years the Spencer town house has been restored to its former glory. Built between 1756 and 1766 for the first Earl of Spencer. Partly designed in Roman style and partly in Greek style. Flashy and intended to flaunt the wealth of its owner. It is the only grand town house of its kind that survived the bombing of London. The garden is only open to the public 2 days a year. Lord Rothschild is who we thank for the restoration, faithful to the original design.
