The Importance of Worms

An expert teaches the importance of worms in your garden. A very lively and enthusiastic talk in Covent Garden yesterday. Oh and the worms were given to a keen young gardener!

David Bellamy!! When I was a kid this guy was always on the TV talking about nature and animals. Thanks for posting! :)

Glad to see David Bellamy still teaching the youngsters about green issues.

Think Marley & myself posted at the same time, as I thought I was the first to leave a comment!

The expression on that little girl's face is priceless!! My son's 2nd grade class has a large plastic tub of worms - they feed them leftovers after lunch! The teacher comments that they are pretty quiet, as classroom pets go...

That girl's expression is priceless (had she never seen a warm before?). ;D

I was about to say he looks like an expert, then I read your comments!

I think the little girl was aghast because he accidentally squeezed the worm in half and didn't realize it because he was so 'into' his presentation.

I had a friend who used to put worms in all her houseplants. But the worms would leave if they didn't have enough food, so you had to watch where you walked!! :)

Very cool idea, composting. I just can't get beyond the snakes that love to lay their eggs in my mom's composting bed!! Maybe if I had an enclosed tub.....

Have a lovely day, all!
