Buttercup

I think these ice-cream vendors are common in most cities. But isn't Buttercup such a lovely name for an otherwise not so wonderful ice-cream.

I think I used to call one of my girlfriends Buttercup!! I could go for an ice cream right now.

Haha... Do they play loud music when they come about? They do that in Leeds to attract customers. :D

This is such a reminder of childhood. I can't recall the last time i saw an
ice cream van. They always seemed to be called tony's or andre's when I was younger. Buttercup is amuch sweeter name.

Yes, we have them here too (which reminds me that I've yet to photograph one). It's hard to find good ice cream in Boston, too. :(

Great post, I miss that kind of ice cream vans, now in Mexico City don't see it any more, I don't now why, guess is not a good business. On the other hand, there are chains of ice cream stores all over the city.

Hmmmm.... the name sounds very apt. And somehow very 'English'!
