This afternoon I noticed the shadows of passersby on the wall. It reminded me of the shadow characters my father taught me to make and the stories he would tell about them.
Did you play shadows as a child? What story would these three characters be part of?

Stunning shot, shadows and skyline!
I love this picture. I know this street well, I walked it every day the last time I was in London. I think those three people are waiting to get into an evening reception in City Hall.
Very very clever shot! Loved it! Especially the building in the skyline which looks like a rocket ship! I have seen it once at skyscrappercity but can't remember the name!
I don't play with shadows when I was a child. But there was one time just this past month wherein a shadow actually played with me. It was very scary. I was walking up our stairs at midnight then I saw my shadow walking in the opposite direction. I ran upstairs and can't believe what I saw!
Anyway, hope London's doing great! God Bless and Mabuhay!

love how this one is framed! As for the "rocket ship" building, that's my favourite too - although the shape has always reminded me of the light bulb on a string of Christmas lights! It was featured prominently in Match Point as the building Jonathan Rhys Meyers' character worked in. :)
I don`t play with shadows when I was a kid.
RE: Bascule light was a type of small navigational aid. It consisted of a basket in which wood or coal was set, this was then burned.
What a fun game and I love the picture! They are standing in line to see the Queen ;)
Interestng idea. I'm not much of a morning person so my static mind is thinking a one act play with staionary charaters speaking from off-stage and just their shadows for props.
Oh, I think I should share these with my students and let them write a brief narrative about the shadow people! And I love the blue sky and the skyline.
I love the shadows! Good catch.
I think they're all in line for something, on their way home from work on a summer evening. The first man is a no-nonsense, serious business man. No wife, no kids, no friends.
The second gentleman is usually late to things, but enjoys life.
The woman is timid - scared. Had a bad experience in her past that gave her trust issues. But she's building her confidence and regaining the go-get-'em attitude of her youth.
In a brief moment, that's what I came up with. :o)
