Mask

The best thing about winter is the time you can spend wandering around the 100's of galleries in London. Some very controversial some very traditional. You find it all in this city.
Five contemporary artists have exhibitions at the British Museum at the moment. The contrast between modern art and ancient artefacts doesn't come greater than this.
This sculpture stops people in their tracks as they walk by. It is so real looking it's a bit scary.

This sort of made me do a double-take when I opened your site. It's an amazing sculpture. Years ago, before the Tate Modern opened, I saw an art work that filled one room at the Tate Museum and was powerfully thought provoking. I was so moved by it, I returned to see it six times. I love the galleries of London.

This certainly leaps off the portal page. Then there's the real human head in the background for extra points. Bravo!

Mo, can you tell us who the artist is. I'm trying to imagine how this was created. It's astonishing.
