Shining down on the University College of London (UCL). The oldest university in England. Founded in 1826, the first to admit students of any race, class or religion and the first to admit women.

Very eerie...wonderful shot!
I have got one of those tripod but only the small one so I cannot use it with my SLR...I might invest in a big one...
Nice moonlight!
Looks like the opening scene in a scary movie.
Sharon, you took the adjective right from under my fingertips! Eerie indeed! :)
Gorgeous photo! Colours and light truly amazing.
Really cool moon shot, I love it. I keep hearing about gorillapods, I guess I'll have to try it some itme.
Great shot and beautifully framed.
The aurora borealis (northern lights) are more frequent in October and from February to March but in parts of northern Norway you can see the aurora almost every dark and clear night. In the summer the midnight Sun will make it impossible to see it. The aurora is most frequent and intense from 2200 to midnight, magnetic time.

I love this photo. The last time I was in London, I got to visit the campus of University college and meet one of the vice provosts. That was an interesting visit.

The full moon is the nightmare of my nights.
Beautifully taken and so haunting the night light.

My kind of college! Do you like the gorillapod? I've been thinking of getting one.
What a beautiful image! Aren't you glad you carry a gorillapod around with you!?! :o)
Very atmospheric image this. I like it! Beautiful building too. I can appreciate your efforts to find a clear spot in the sky at this time of year having the same problem myself.
