There may be grey skies, but there is still lots of lovely textures and combinations to take pictures of. The magnolia trees are all starting to flower. They look magnificent. A few have fallen to compliment this man's stride.
These steps lead to St Mary Le Strand, one of the oldest churches in London. In Norman times the Strand Cross occupied this site. Very little is known about its origins. However it was given a make over in the 14th century that gave it significant importance to the Bishops who dominated the Strand at that time.

I love spring for just that reason, it seems to 'soften' the world.
Thank you for some wonderful pictures of a city many of us know and love but who do indeed see it through the fresh eyes of a lovely visitor.
Charles Dickens’s father was married there in 1809.
(We do have grey skies in West Oz!)
lovely.
You have such a fantastic eye for photography. I love this shot!
I love how the steps are worn down from so many visitors. And thank you once again for the history lesson. Please keep them coming.
I like this one, how all the elements come together.
Magnolia flowers allways look great, even on the ground. Great composition!
Very interesting shot, I love it!
