Ok we are in Trafalgar Square. So you should all recognise the lad on the plinth as being Nelson. The lad on the horse. Well he's Charles I. He had a bit of a power struggle with parliament. See, he believed in the divine right of kings which was bestowed upon lads like him by god, supposedly.
Did that get him a nice statue in a cathedral? No. Too many taxes and wars not to mention losing his head, got him a job in the 21st century marking the spot
from where all distances from London are measured.

No doubt they are enjoying the clouds & blue sky & thinking what a good photographer this Mo is.
Very nice clouds, I wonder if they would agree with me if I told them I thought the one in the lower left-hand corner looks like dolphin spouting water?
Yes I do!
Its a whale - not a dolphin!

Gorgeous as always!
Hi,
Nice photos thanks.
Love,
Herrad
I know a lot about Charles I but ... I didn't know that THAT was HIM!!! He passed unnoticed - at least to me - in such a huge usually crowded space.
Thanks, Mo! There's always something to learn on your great blog.
I have just gone back through your blog until 16 November, just when I had told my other half that I did not think that I wish to go back and live in the UK you come along and ruin it! (in a very nice way of course.)
Thank you for glorious memories of a unique and beautiful country.
Not sure if visiting your blog frequently is a good idea though, had just cured myself of homesickness, your photos just take me back, oh well!!!!
Yes, he is the little known centre of London! Great SWF :)
