Summer officially ends this coming bank holiday weekend. Not that we've had the greatest summer to have a grand finale. However there have been some pretty wonderful days, blue skies and a mini heatwave lasting all of a week.
I've decided to bring you glimpses of summer everyday this week. The good bits.
Today is a couple of tourists from Toronto enjoying ice-cream. Thanks for letting me accost you at an ice-cream stall to take this picture. Do hope you've enjoyed your holiday in London.

We are still coping with a mega-heatwave down here instead. How much I would appreciate some fresh air and an ice-cream now! Nice couple, they seem to enjoy their holiday very much!
Nothin' like an ice-cweam cone.

SUMMER-holiday, love and ice-cream.
Nice photo, and also a nice memory for the couple.
The end of summer? Nooooo!!!
Is that a Mr Whippy I see before me?
Nice one.
Looks like a nice Canadian couple who enjoy yummy ice cream. Maybe they're real world travelers - I see he wears a "Fly Emirates" airline shirt!
They look like they are indeed enjoying their holiday (who wouldn't in such circumstances?!) A very nice picture!
Ah, summer... long gone from Moscow. It's been more October-like here recently.
Yum! Ice cream in London, and great pic of tourists, especially one wearing an Arsenal jersey. Go Gunners!
London looks very fun. It's been years since I've been.
The ice cream looks great too. :-)
I once took a short photography course. I enjoyed it. I learnt from it. But the task I completely failed at was when we were sent out to accost strangers and ask if we could take their photographs. I only plucked up the courage to ask one and was so awkward and nervous about it - he said 'no' - after which, my nerve failed completely and that was that!
Did you tell the people in the photo about your blog so they will know to come and see it here? (If so - 'Hello, people with the ice-creams!')
Say it isn't so. Summer is ending. Not to much of a heat wave here in the Midwest either.
I'm sure the Canadians will have a great holiday and you've helped to create a fun memory for them.
What a great idea! I look forward to seeing your views of the summer that (sort of) was :)
They couldn't look happier. Tampa has had enough of hot humid weather and blue skies and now we are hoping that it will begin to feel a bit cooler (without any hurricanes hitting us.) Great picture of a wonderful London moment.
Nothing more interesting than talking to strangers and taking their portrait. Try asking the subjects their name next time and a few facts.
I wonder how much an icecream costs in London.
We don't have Flakes here in Canada, so the first time I got an ice cream cone in the UK and they stuck a flaky chocolate bar in it, I thought it was the greatest thing I'd ever seen.
