Skywatch Friday - Swans

A couple of swans found their way to Southbank creating a lot of human interest which didn't impress them one bit.

Visit other skywatchers around the world.

The swans seem so comfortable there, but then they are usually so aloof and do not care about the fuss people make.

They certainly seem to be enjoying the urban scenery.

They look very much at home in an urban setting. And your puffy white clouds seem almost like relatives!

Beautiful swans, skyline, and clouds for your sky watch contribution.

Mo, in response to your question placed on my blog, the CDP logo leads to a suspended account because the address has changed. I sent you an email on the subject and there are two threads in the CDP forum on the subject. The bottom line is the html in your CDPB page element needs to be changed to point at citydailyphoto.com

I hope this helps.

I really love swans and just thought about why. I can so relate to the ugly duckling fairy tale and am hoping to one day turn into one myself.
Love the clouds and sky too!

With a flock of clouds in tow.

The layers of movement are striking - the buildings of London stolid while everything else flows, floats, flies or sails past. (At least, they have the potential to.) Even the pebbles shift with the tide. Then the camera snaps them shut so they all have to stay in position.

It's fascinating - and the air of rain to come adds tension.

Looks like they got a bit more than they bargained for when they landed on that bit of riverband!

Love the puffy clouds - they're like genies out of a bottle.
