You could be forgiven for thinking you had stumbled into a bunch of aliens, or thought the English are totally eccentric, if you happened to be at Southbank yesterday.
Dozens of dressing gown clad, towel waving, HHGTTG (Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy) fans were there for the launch of Eoin Colfer's new book - "And Another Thing". (part six of three)
It has been thirty years since the original HHGTTG and the celebrations included video clips, readings by the original radio cast, the Blizzards playing their new single and the great photo shoot of dozens of Arthur Dent's. (You do need to be a fan to know who he is).

I've got the original reading by Douglas Adams himself, but on tape and I can't play them anymore. Such a shame, because he was brilliant!
Weirdos....reminds me of the Trekkies.
Now I try to remember what And Another Thing reminds me of.
hehe, you're right, no idea what's it all about... they look cool in their robes and towels though...^-^
Looks like a lot of fun.
They were great books all of them. I celebrate towel day every year (photo of that over at my flickr stream).
Looks like they are having fun!
Very funny :)
You're not helping the British standing here. This is just more evidence that we are eccentric. What with this and conkers!
Everyone is a fan. Old ones and fans-to-be. Time for some Vogon Poetry, methinks.
What fun!! Of course I know who Arthur Dent is, but the question is do you know who Dirk Gently is?
