Ghost Forest

Angela Palmer's installation of giant tree stumps in Trafalgar square is to highlight the issues of deforestation.
After a week they will move to Copenhagen in time for the UN Climate change summit.

Will be interesting what comes out of the UN Climate Summit.

And after that has been removed to Copenhagen, how long does it take before the Christmas tree goes up?

I read about this yesterday. Interesting idea ... but I do wonder about the "carbon footprint" resulting from moving these stumps from place to place. I wonder what will come out of the Copenhagen summit.

And the Christmas tree is from Norway??
(Well, it used to be.... )
Anyway, to me London seems to be better than many other places with new and contamporary art.
Strong message in this shot.
