Department store windows are always fabulous at Xmas time. Here Selfridges is one of the best. A year's planning by 40 people go into their spectacular show. What are the windows like in your city at this time of year?
This is not what I would expect of a Christmas window display, however it is rather fun! When I was working in Chicago, I remember fantastic displays with moving models and music. Here in Phoenix we don't see so many elaborate window displays because all of our stores are in malls!
I love Christmas windows, that's pretty snazzy one you have there. I need to get into town and see the one at Ogilvy's here in Montreal, it has all sorts of moving animal puppets,in a Christmas village it's brilliant :o) In Toronto the one at The Bay is best.
Haha. That reminds more of store window that should be displayed in Provincetown, MA! And, I don't really know what the windows look like here. I am trying to stay away from the stores!
Love the 'Drag Queen' look!!! I've not been to Perth (our biggest city)for ages & really don't want to at this time of the year. Too hot much rather be swimming!!!

love it.!!! our windows are more traditional, but nice in a white light glittery kind of way ..
Can you imagine trying to work on Christmas windows in February or worse still on a hot humid day in August? Well done to them, say I!

Full of fake snow, fake tress, tons of "Christmas Specials" with overpriced knick-knacks and plinky-plonk festive music.
Have you noticed I'm not in the Crimble Spirit this year?
So colourful! Not very traditional, but terrific! They convey energy, joy, enthusiasm! Time to start partying?

Those are some fancy, festive Christmas windows! I'll have to go out with my camera and find some decorated Christmas windows to show ...

Thsi photo reminds me that I haven't taken any christmas windows yet. I'll rectify that tomorrow!
