Russian Orthodox Church

Not far from the Gunnersbury tube on the District line I stumbled upon the Russian Orthodox Church.
Building began in 1997, with the first service held in 1999. An interesting history can be found here..

It's hard to believe that something so pretty could have been built so recently.
Most of the buildings here in Anchorage are just rubbish.
Thanks for posting.

This is really beautiful! Believe it or not, I am actually thinking to go to Russia later this year. One of my longtime blog/beading friends has invited me there! We'll see! :D
