Found these great mugs at Spitalfields Market.
How many of you know about the pudding called Spotted Dick? A steamed suet concoction with currants, generally served with custard. Seems to have originated around 1850.
Think I'll opt for a fairy cake.

Fab-tastic mugs! I want one too! I think I'd have the Spotted Dick one - if nothing else, for the entertainment value :-)
A fairy cake for me please. They are so sweet.
I love the fairy cakes one -- my daughter would get a huge kick out of that.

Oh these mugs are so cute! I'm pretty sure spotted dick is the one English dish that every one knows about ;) Great blog!
These are fantastic mugs! I love mugs in general and these are super fun. Fairy Cakes, Spitted Dick, Full English Breakfast and Fish N Chips... who wouldn't love them?
I thought Spotted Dick was something one went to the doctor for. I'd try it regardless. And bring these mugs to Canada! They'd be a great addition to any coffee counter :)
I love London and those mugs are typical of its unique culture.
