A fun fair with a difference. The Carters Steam Fair is a step back to the 1920's. Beautifully restored rides and attractions. Carters collect these wonderful items from a bygone era spending months restoring them. They then travel around London for seven months of the year moving around in vintage caravans and vehicles.
The rides are powered by steam engines adding to the magic. The carousal whizzes around with steam puffing from the central chimney complete with whistles and bells.
Side shows include cork firing rifles and a coconut shy
Make sure you catch the amazing wall of death, vintage motorcyclists performing stunts around a wooden wall.
Currently on at Ravenscourt Park until 18 April.

Good old England, good old times!
Beautiful! Harking back to the era when GB had something more to offer the world than large-scale gambling :-/
Love this picture. Brings me back to my childhood!
That sounds so much better than what we have here.
Great colorful rides. They look beautiful.
Oh, how I wish I could see this in person! What colors! And, such historic value.
Those rides are beautiful. So much nicer than the carnivals and fairs held here.

I'd love to see this in person. I've seen them incorporated into an episode of one of the British TV dramas we get over here but I can't recall which one
