Possibly the oldest meat market in the world. For nearly a thousand years this was London's livestock market. Now Smithfiled's still processes meat but it arrives as carcasses rather than a live animal.
It reminds me of a exhibition of around meat that I saw a couple of weeks ago, sometimes a bit gross but interesting to see art in butcher store and restaurants

Omigosh it looks like an elephant carcass. What a job!
I thought that was a structure made with bones of a horse.
