Currently receiving a new coat of paint. Southwark Bridge is next up river from London Bridge (rail).
Best news today - My suitcase has finally turned up. Lost by the airlines on 23 December! I do hope the man I chatted to at the airport has found his. His went astray on 18 December.
Good morning mo, I see they have bunged in a cycle path. Finally. The times I struggled over that bridge amongst the traffic... And a fresh coat of paint as well. Must be for the Olympics :-)
Great news for your suitcase.. SAME exact kind of thing with a friend of mine in France!! She wrote about it just a little while ago! http://totallyfrenchedout.blogspot.com/ Must be a good day for lost suitcases turning up! Take care!
Every time I see another picture of London I want to hop a plane and return to what I like to onside my home away from home. The painting crew is doing a great job of painting this wonderful bridge. I just love that one of a kind green. Nice capture.
Beautiful paint job! It's amazing what a fresh coat of paint will accomplish. Sorry to hear it took so long for your luggage to find you, but I'm glad it was returned intact. I wonder where it's been hiding all this time.
The colours of the bridge look awesome. I suppose you should be grateful that your suitcase eventually turned up and that it never stayed permanently lost...

Beautiful, clean and well kept bridge. I'm a retired bus driver and always appreciated bike lanes. Some thought went into the planning of the bridge.
