I'm photographing much of the area around regent's canal and the back of the Kings Cross rail yards to record the changes. The area is undergoing huge development at present. Close to this spot will be the new arts university, due to open in September. The facades of most of these warehouses will be retained. However the area will be very different once complete.

Saturday Stroll
I'm photographing much of the area around regent's canal and the back of the Kings Cross rail yards to record the changes. The area is undergoing huge development at present. Close to this spot will be the new arts university, due to open in September. The facades of most of these warehouses will be retained. However the area will be very different once complete.

It's interesting to record change. I can never remember how things once were when they've been developed, so well done, you :-)

but just seeing the photo as is, i almost think that change is too bad.

Your photo gives the area more of a look of Yorkshire or Lancashire than London. It could easily be the Leeds Liverpool Canal!

Glad to see the facades of some of the buildings are being saved. Love the bricks & there is even a frame for a triptych!
In a way I think it's a bit sad that all these areas are becoming gentrified - I find old derelict factory buildings a little bit magical... prettying them up leaves no room for your imagination to run wild
Strolling in the side walk is not enough to enjoy life in the city. Try to burn some gas to enjoy the throttle rounding up the city.
Lovely shot! I love old warehouses and so on, I simply must visit this area!
