Except for the accident in the Gulf of Mexico, I think BP is trying not to damage the environment while drilling for energy. Aren't they trying to find alternative sources of energy other than petroleum?
H has taken the price further than I did ... however, if I convert that to AUD it means that you are paying about $2.10 per litre. I think that is where our price is heading but at the moment, I think it is about $1.45. However, with the African 'spring' and with Obama fisting up to Netanyahu, the price will surely rise.
