To highlight the vulnerability of the cyclist and protest about the dependency on oil and the car culture more then 1,000 stripped (dare as you bare) and rode the 9 miles around central London. The Naked Bike Ride is an annual event that takes place in 50 countries.

It's a cool event. I hope it will come to Stockholm.
Riding a bike is dangerous enough for men....
Incredible! Good for them. I think I would need to be wearing dark sunglasses and a balaclava.
That gives a whole new meaning to saddle sore :-)
venerability??
:-)
Haha! I hope it wasn't too cold in London today Mo. My niece who lives in London saw this event, very brave of the cyclists, such a great photo op!!
Yes, I query that, too. Venerability or vulnerability. I can see they are all vulnerable, but only a few who are venerable.
Good event.
Did Queen Elizabeth ride along, too?!
Cool! I couldn't do this but, would like to thank them for participating. Enjoy your blog !
It is an attention getter! Great shot!
That just looks SO uncomfortable!
My daughter saw them - rather brave people I think, for all sorts of reasons!
Just imagine falling off! Spinning wheels and dangly stuff.
A couple of thoughts: the men have bags covering the seat, why doesn't the girl in front? And I don't feel so bad about saggy boobs anymore, looks like they are the norm.
Cool shots.
Protest needs attention.
A friend was on his motorcycle and got caught in the middle of the naked ride here - he thought he should strip off in support but resisted!
Somehow, I just can't help linking it with yesterday's slutwalk...........
The warm sunny weather and cycling isn't a good combination...there was some real bad air polution going on in Hyde Park before the event...a bit of a pong!
It was however for a good cause and they seemd to be having fun...
Good job they had decent weather for it.
Amazing!!!!!
Good on them!
Haha..that's an interesting way to prove your point!
I can't believe the guy who is riding his bike stark nekkid down the streets of London, and he's looking at his phone! Dude, watch where you're going.
Oops should have done a spell check. Fixed now. Thanks for pointing it out.
Are bike helmets not compulsory in London?
That looks so uncomfortable and it's most incongruous to see naked people wearing crash helmets!!
I was one of the many wearing only a crash helmet and footwear, so it seems I've finally got to see you photographing round London, Mo, and you may have seen a lot of me.
oh, those
poor bicycle seats
