Fighting it out on stage to win the coveted position to be the UK representative at the Air Guitar Championship finals in Finland next weekend.
Cool would be rock stars with imaginary guitars, some that made you cringe and others that made you laugh. Fabulous entertainment.
Also helping raise funds for the teenage cancer trust.
I remember visiting one of the first Swedish Championships in Air Guitar, must have been in 1987. Rock on!
ReplyDeleteI love watching people play the air guitar, it is right funny.
ReplyDeleteActually I brought and air guitar (blue blow up guitar) for a boyfriends crimbo present once, although he never uses it, he always preferred the invisible version!
I come from Oulu, Finland where the finals are held.
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize Air Guitar was popular anywhere else :) This year I can't visit the finals because I live in London :)
If that isn't the most bizarrely vapid hobby.
ReplyDeleteAir guitar championships? This is the first time I hear of such a thing!
ReplyDeleteNever knew this existed! I guess I am showing my age. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm with Karine, I hadn't heard of this competition before. I bet it is fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteI can just hear the music!
ReplyDeleteSecretly we all do it; should hear my 'Sultans of Swing'!
ReplyDeleteAt least the Air Guitar Championship is for a good cause! I think I would get bored after about 10 minutes watching this...
ReplyDeleteThis would be fun. I didn't know there were air guitar championships but I'm glad to learn it exists.
