Technical Problems

A malfunctioning computer frustrates more than anything else. Yesterday the motherboard was replaced on my laptop. Windows then had to be reinstalled. Now nothing works! Oh for the day I can afford a MAC. I am currently unable to access my photos. (fortunately backed up on another drive) however it may be a day or two before I can bring you more glimpses of London.

Good you had your photos backed up! Wish you strong nerves/patience (these computer problems can be uite upsetting) until your fresh eyes can show us your London again.

That is the time when I appreciate that we have seven pc's between us :-), all criss-cross backed up.
Now, in case of a powercut....
Hope you find peace again soon.

macs are more expensive but probably cheaper in the long run. However, the lower level of frustration is priceless.

Have an iMac desktop, and today I bought my MacAir laptop. Will never touch Windows again.

Sorry about that. Nasty luck, but at least you have the pictures backed up.

Macs are now cheaper than comparable PCs, except the CrapBook (sub $600) models, because they just don't make those. Don't sell yourself short (I'm still using an 8 year old PowerBook, and it still does everything great (only had to add a little RAM).

So sorry to hear abuout your technical woes! What a nightmare! I used to keep everything on an external drive and my own owes only seized when I brought it all back on to my main drive. I hope you figure out whatever is plaguing you! I only use my PC to blog, really, so a Mac wouldn't work for me without Windows Live Writer!
