Even easier way to get them to throw up their hands: invade (old joke, but it had to be said)
This type of place is rarer and rarer. Back in'03 when I moved to London I asked my building concierge where the nearest "real' fish and chips place was in the neighbourhood; it took 2 days to find someone who knew of one. Last I knew the site is now a hulking combined use complex.

I hope that's not the standard in English cuisine.... Great photo.
Wot, Samosas with no chips?
Cheese and chips?? No chips with chips?

Haha! what Adullamite said!! Happy New Year Mo.
I see there's an off-licence next door so all ones needs are met. Fantastic.
Ugh, too many chips!!! I'd ask for a salad instead :o)
I'm starving!
