Generally during the winter months the fountains at Trafalgar Square are drained. We've had such a mild winter that this has happened. The cold snap we had last week has resulted in the fountains partly freezing. Rather beautiful, don't you think?
Oh, yes. I definitely agree. As I commented on another post today, it is surprising to see overflowing frozen fountains on European blogs. In American, most cold weather cities turn off and drain fountains in the winter to avoid damage.
Beautiful! :) I've blogged about a similar incident last year at Manchester's Albert Square. See http://www.kakinan.com/alex/archives/2010/12/No-One-Should-Be-Spared.php

It is beautiful! Hope it doesn't result in any damage.
Stunning image, Mo.
Great beautiful shot!
Very pretty, that happens in the early spring here in Montreal sometimes.
They had to turn the water off at the famous Manneken-Pis statue in Brussels as there was a danger of a piece of his anatomy being damaged.
The bus registration on your previous post is interesting!!!
Cool!
