White Hart Dock


This dock and slipway date back to the 14th century all that remains now is this current structure from 1868. The sign next to it informs us that a few tunnels from here to Embankment are visible at low tide. I haven't verified this yet.

At first I thought that was a real boat sitting in front. I had to enlarge the photo to see it was a place to sit. Nicely preserved.

Oh tunnels! That is interesting information about the area. It would be nice to see if that claim is true.

How lovely. I would love to go exploring there. I think Pete from the Londoneer was photographing the tunnels the other day.
