Hail

Moments before being pelted with large hailstones. A good time for Greece to offer sunny holiday deals to the English.

Man, that sky looks brutal! We got a bit of hail here yesterday as well, but not large stones!

Exactly the same colour sky behind the sycamore trees that are on the park behind my garden. Glad you see it too.

I lived in London in the early 2000's and got to experience the first true snowfall in at least a decade (which was impressive until the last couple years). But far and away more impressive was a hailstorm, about this same time of year.

I've been in the Midwestern US during monster thunder storms, complete with tornado sirens, and the hail is much larger and more violent, but the sheer accumulation of the ice in London was incomparable. It covered the ground in at least four inches of ice pellets! And was all gone in about an hour's time.

Great shot and lovely contrasts between the sky and the foreground. It looks like Greece could be the holiday destination next year.!!

Great sky and image!
We had the COLDEST National Day ever here in Stavanger.
Still cold, but more than +4C.

Keep warm, and enjoy the weekend!
