After the Party

London went bunting crazy for the Diamond Jubilee. It seemed as if every street, store, house, and boat was surrounded by bunting and had a flag flying. This week the soggy decorations are being removed.

Yes, it is raining again. The wettest May on record and June is heading the same way!

Lovely barges! Rain, it's nothing here, go north for the real stuff!

I bet there are places where the bunting is sticking to surfaces! You've had more than your fair share of rain lately.

We are also rather damp and soggy down south. Been following the d j
celebration with interest.

What a lovely shot! Well, Seattle has been rather soggy too, [not surprisingly.] I will be in London for a week next August and hope the weather has improved by then. I hope some of the Jubilee colors will still be up then. Veronique (French Girl in Seattle)

I would have loved seeing all the pageantry, Mo, even in the rain. Thanks for reporting it for us.

The wind and rain have somewhat battered the remaining bunting in our neighbourhood...it's a slightly sad reminder of the fun last weekend!

Oh no, shouldn't you be having a bit of sunshine now Mo, it's belting down here also, but we are in winter.
