Union Jack flags, dresses, jackets and hats and thousands of royal face masks greeted you where ever you looked. Over a million lined the banks of the Thames for seven miles. Some camped over night in the heavy rain. Others arrived at dawn to try and get a perfect spot to view the Jubilee pageant. A flotilla of 1,000 boats on the Thames heading for Tower Bridge. The first time in over 300 years that a flotilla like this has been on the river.
Despite the rain the crowds were enthusiastic and jubilant, with loads of cheering and fervent flag waving all day. The Queen looked magnificent dressed in white aboard a beautiful gilded barge covered in 10,000 flowers. She must have been so moved to see this public display of affection for her. More celebrations today and the Jubilee concert and lighting of the beacon tonight.

Nice one!!
Celebrate and have fun!
I saw a documentary about your queen on TV last week.
Most people her age are very different, and have retired years back.
What a gorgeous event! Keep on having fun!
It was hard to miss this event. It was on all the channels yesterdays. Enjoy it.
London is an exciting place to be right now! Thanks for sharing your Jubilee experiences with us. Great photo!

Wow sounds like a fun and memorable time :)
Damned shame about the weather though.

Hahaha!!! Love it!
Too bad about the rain but, people seem to be enjoying themselves in spite of the weather. I've seen several reports on the news here.
I saw clips of the armada on the news, what an amazing day!!!
Watched some on BBC Entertainment channel last night. Looked cold and wet but great fun. Must be exciting to be in London at this time.
From what I've heard all who were there endured the rain in typical British spirit and loved it. I snatched a few glimpses on the TV.
LOL, those masks! Not easy to capture a crowd event, love this one. (My partner in crime, Mr. L, is there now, and I'm envious!)
The Royals have never been better! Long live the Queen!
I watched on the TV. Loved the choir at the end - soaking we and still belting out the songs!
