A haven in the city, not far from Mansion House is the tranquil Cleary Garden. A garden has existed here since the middle ages when the vintners used the site for trading and growing vines. It has undergone a number of remodels since that time with a total recreation after WWII. In 2007 it was redesigned with vines and aromatic plants from the Loire Valley. A little piece of France in the heart of the City of London.

Aromatic plants from the Loire Valley, how fabulous Mo. The combination between English and French country sounds divine!
Oh wow. It looks wonderful there. I shall have to try find it!
Gorgeous! I love the French style. I always stay in this very swish short stay apartment in London which is crying out with the French style! If only it has this as a garden....
What a beautiful, quiet spot.
Beautiful!
I don't recognize the French influences in this photo, but whatever nationality is involved, the natural artistry is abundant.
so tranquil!
How perfectly beautiful and serene! I would love to go there and just while away an afternoon, daydreaming.
How gorgeous.
