Watch out anyone or anything that comes near these cygnets as their over protective parents will swing into full attack mode. Ironically, when the cygnets are six months old their parents aggression turns on them, and they are turfed out of home to make their own way in the bird world. No wonder swans always seem a bit crabby!

They even look like they are frowning!
Angry Birds.
Angie is right, they do look like they are frowning at you for taking the picture.
I love it when wild animals look face-front right into the camera! Their look fierce, not angry to me - and strong. Graceful too, but mostly strong.
Sometimes think that this is the reason why adolescents have so many clashes with parents - to motivate them to get out of the family home. Not so easy these days, though.
Glad to see these swans have raised their cygnets. So many nests were washed out during the recent heavy rains.
Nice pic, but swans can be aggressive.
I had no idea! And all these seasons, I'd see them in St James and coo. Ah nature.
