A giant baobab tree sculpture made from brightly coloured fabrics from around the world is an installation as part of the Southbank festival of the world.
Look for the young boy at the base to give you an idea of the size of the tree.
Close up I thought it rather hard to tell that it was made of fabric, since it seems to be covered in some kind of plastic. I suppose that's just as well, given the weather we have been having - it wouldn't do to have it all rotting! Well done on getting the photo of the entire tree with someone in it for scale. It is not in an easy spot to photograph.
A marvelous sculpture of a marvelous tree! It makes me a bit nostalgic for the Southbank (a former neighborhood :)...I agree with Jenny above, a great capture in that tricky spot.

How wonderful - so colourful, so huge:-)
I'm glad you mentioned the boy. That tree is huge. Wonderful!

Oh my god, I didn't even notice the boy at first and I thought the tree is only 2-3 metres tall.
