A couple of cows have popped up at Kings Cross Station. Why? They're advertising an ice-cream festival to be held at Granary Square this weekend. The brochure promises ice-cream art, competitions, the penny lick (what is that?) and lots of ice-cream.
Now that sounds like fun.

Don't eat too many ice-creams!
I trust you will be there, clicking away? Are there still pennies around?!!
Cool!
An ice cream festival sounds like a good idea to me.
My mother grew up near to Kings X and tells me that cows were regularly driven through the streets to nearby slaughterhouses when she was a girl. No blue cows though!
I thought so too and was annoyed that I was travelling through Kings Cross LAST weekend and not this!
A pennylick is an ice cream without the cone. The container is shaped like a cone, so you can eat it by licking, just like a cone. You could buy it from a street vendor and didn't need a spoon to enjoy it. I infer the "penny" part was likely the original price.
Cute cow! :p
