We're now preparing for our next big party next month, the Para Olympics. A number of events are planned to mark the arrival of these games.
Here a group of able-bodied kids are learning the rules and skills of one of the sports we will be watching, wheelchair basketball.

I read in my morning paper that 2.1 million tickets had been sold to the upcoming paralympics.
You have a busy summer, succes with the next festivity.
Between the Queen's Jubilee, her birthday, the Olympics and what's coming next - you guys are really on display to the world - and looking great! I guess it really started with the royal wedding, didn't it.
What a year for London! I'm betting the Para Olympics will be just as big of a success as the Olympics were. I certainly enjoyed the closing ceremonies.
Mo, thanks for the information on Butterfly World. I will keep an eye on the site for further developments. It sounds like a wonderful as well as educational place to visit. I noticed on the map that it wasn't far from Kings Langley. I stayed in Kings Langley some years ago when I stayed with a friend's parents who lived there.
London has become party central :) Great capture & I'm sure this will be as big a success as the Olympics!
It's wonderful that children are being made aware of the paralympics and the challenges faced by the atheletes that participate in them!
Yes, I believe tickets for this are now getting sold out.
I like your action shot!
