Crown and Goose

I recently discovered the Crown and Goose a charming pub in Camden, just off the Camden High St. A lovely place for a quiet drink, a great meal, or a full on celebration. These two had a lovely birthday, and no .. the dog's name is not Goose!.

It seems every street corner in London has a pub on it. So what makes one better than another? For me the Crown and Goose has all the right ingredients that makes it a great pub - it's a super space, lovely art on the walls, all the right libations and well kept beer on tap, friendly staff, and the pièce de résistance? ...the food! The chef here knows what they are doing. I had a delicious meal of sea bass on samphire and crab, and my companion had falafel salad, equally delicious. I'm going to work my way through their menu.

Great when you find a place like that. I'm working my way through several menus (and the various beers too!)

I expect the dog would have liked a tiara too.

Now that there's no smoking in pubs, I'd be likely to hang out there all the time. Is it close enough to be your local?
