They do always smell delicious, but when I first moved here a friend warned me on how unsanitary they are so I've steered clear. Not sure there's much truth to that rumour, though.
Whenever I see an image like this, or smell nuts being roasted, I'm always transported back to childhood and walking past one of the entrances to James Smith in Wellington, the one where the nut bar was....heavenly.

I remember roasted chesnuts! A happy chappie in the rain!
Wonderful photo! It seems that I can feel the smell of the nuts... )))
And they usually smell so good that it's hard to pass them up.
It's a tough way to make a living - good luck to them.
Great pic! thanks for sharing.

Sometimes I think people like this are what keeps London's blood pumping. I can't wait to get home and be in London for Christmas...
Tough life. (Sugar coated nuts? Doesn't sound very appetising.)
Bravo!!:)
I love the way you have composed this!
Nice pictures:)
