The locals and the Camden Council have been battling to save their pub from the wrecking ball of the developers.
The battle is lost. The building owners Barclay's Discretionary Trust have won the court battle which will see the Crown and Goose demolished to make way for the property developers.
The management and staff of the pub welcome you for a last tipple before the doors close for the last time.

How sad - look's like a super charming place.
pubs are having a hard time in England - to think that they were such a central part of British life.
Too sad!
It's a shame but they are not used as much as they were what with cheap booze from the super markets and the price pubs charge. What once were centres of the community are fast disappearing. I think the Government missed a trick, they could have increased the duty on off sales and decreased it for pubs thereby making it cheaper to drink in them, keeping them open and maintaining employment.
Oh, that is a shame, so sad such places have to be replaced by something new.
Now that is areal shame. It looks like a very appealing place, the kind I'd love to visit.
It seems like the traditional community gathering places are really struggling. Too bad.
What a shame Mo, looks one of those English pubs I loved when I visited London. Can't imagine what they build in its place will be nearly as inviting. Glad to hear that you're feeling a little bit better, look after yourself!
Oh how sad, I keep reading about this happening and there seems no end. The traditional 'gathering places' are changing and disappearing.
That's upsetting. And a darn shame.
It looks like such a pretty old brick building. I think we all lose a little part of ourselves when old places like this with history and character are lost. Councils too often make decisions based on increased tax revenues, not cultural heritage.

So sad. When I walked the Old East London line with Ian and Pete, we saw so many closed pubs. Very sad.
