Thanks for the memory. I was living within a walk of Islington two decades ago. Sorry to hear the fish and chips aren't as good these days. I can also reminisce about carry-out fish and chips wrapped in newspaper for a half crown in the summer of 1964. Tempus fugit.
There's lots of Fish & Chip stores in my part of the world. Finding a good one can be a challenge.
ReplyDeleteSounds like this place is worth a try.
ReplyDeleteNot like the ones I have known.
ReplyDeleteWould love to try this one! ;)
ReplyDeletemy mouth is watering at the mere thought

ReplyDeleteNot all fish & chips places are created equal so it's great when you find a good one!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to find a good fish & chip shop now - this looks a gem:)
ReplyDeleteStepping back a couple of decades? Indeed. It looks like the 1950s.
