Fancy trying your hand at stone carving? There is so much happening at Abney Park (see yesterday's post), among them the chance to learn a new skill. Not only can you watch the artists at work, buy their beautiful products, but they'll also teach you their skills. To find out more about creating sculptures visit the Abney Park Carvers.

I have no hand skills. That's why I like photograph so much. Photography is really quite simple, it isn’t rocket science. Its just reacting to what you see.
I would try but I doubt the stone would last.
Good skill.
Ican use my had have done all my life, never tried a masons work though. She should have been given glasses or goggles to wear.
I'd mess that stone up in no time at all.
Even harder while trying to keep a pink tote bag on your shoulder.
I bet that isn't and easy craft to learn.
I imagine it's a very difficult skill to learn!
I'd end up messing up my hand in the process!
I bet there are some 4th or 5th generation carvers - very cool to see.
This isn't going to work for me. Carving takes immense care and patience, which are in short supply with me.
That would be interesting to try!
i' ve never tried, sounds difficult ! :)
This is surely no easy skill. Would be great to have a try!
