You do get around the museums; one advantage of living in London. I like going in, but could not live with the noise, so I'll stick to my day-trips.
That staircase is magnificent!
Possibly my favourite small museum anywhere. The ballustrade on the staircase is rather famous as these things go. And it's magnificent. I think it may have been brought from France but don't quote me on that. :-)
I can picture a beautiful lady in a lovely gown making an entry down that grand staircase.
That is a gorgeous building. And what a fitting use for it, as opposed to letting it end up being a corporate headquarters or private club.

I 'discovered' this museum last year, and I quite agree, it is a hidden gem.
