Tessa Bunney - Open Water Swimming

Last night was the opening of documentary photographer Tessa Bunney's work "Open water swimming". Winter swimming - one in Finland and the other in the Serpentine in Hyde Park, London. Go and really get the sense of just how freezing you would be if for some reason you lost your mind and took up this sport. (Think naked in minus 15 degrees. London in winter feels almost tropical by comparison).

Exhibition at Photofusion 31 January 2014 to 14 March 2014

Going out to take photos in -15 degree temperatures is bad enough. But swimming!

I can't even imagine such a crazy hobby. I checked out some of her photos. Brrrrrr. She's a great photographer.

An excellent portrait of her.

There are some people in this world that I will never understand. I guess for them, the "challenge" is all! I wonder what a study of their brains would show? Extreme disregard for one's own health, perchance? :)

Uh, no, that is not going to happen . . .
