Lions at the Tower and an elephant in the rail station. London is still collecting animals in odd places. In Victorian times you might have seen a real elephant at a circus near Waterloo Station, now you'll see this sculpture by artist Kendra Haste.
Waterloo station has become a bit of a white elephant itself since the eurostar moved over to the beautifully refurbished St Pancras International. Now, other than a few productions of the play "the railway children" Waterloo International's platforms lay empty and unused.

Yes I wonder what they are going to do with them. Something to do with elephants, perhaps?
Have you seen the large Poo Bear type sculptures outside the Dorchester. Unfortunately I took them in mono and should have used colour.
I think they're planning to make use of the Eurostar platforms for domestic trains. Waterloo has to be one of the busiest stations with its routes to south and southwest.
That sculpture would be hard to miss!
Must go there when we visit in October. If I remember from arriving there by Eurostar, there is an impressive glass roof.
This sculpture certainly does stand out.
What a beautiful sculpture. I thought it was real at first.
What a great sculpture! The one time I took the Eurostar, it left from Waterloo.
It looks so real!
I thought Waterloo was one of the busiest stations. Of course, I am hopelessly out of date.
