There are the carol singers, the brass bands and those same old songs like I saw mummy kissing santa last night. Which ones drive you crazy and which ones do just love at this time of the year?
The song you mentioned is the one that drives me crazy when I hear it. My all time favorite Christmas music is from The Trans-Siberian Orchestra. And, of course I do love Pink Martini's Christmas album.
I absolutely loath the song Feliz Navidad. Whoever wrote it, if there is any cosmic karma, will spend an eternity in hell trapped with a folk singer singing kumbayah until the end of time.
I will sound like a sour old man, but there are very few modern Christmas songs I like. I adore the traditional old English carols, like In the Bleak Midwinter, The Holly and the Ivy and Once in Royal David's City.
