As promised here is the kit for the operation.
The operation itself. Although there were more illustrations of people being held done by several people as the surgeons prepared for the operation, which seemed to me vital if the surgeon was going to get past the first incision.
Then of course the bandages. They had to be reused hence the use for this bandage rolling machine.
Doesn't bear thinking about, does it?!
ReplyDeleteThe future of the NHS under the Tories.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
ReplyDeleteEnough to make your toes curl. I love the 21st century!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, this is a lot like what I saw in Bruges. I have an ache in my toe just looking at the drawing. I can't even imagine. Thank goodness we've come a long way. However, I'm still looking forward to the day they will use something like in Star Trek, a small device you just hold over the person and it heals you.
ReplyDeleteInteresting and ... scary ;)
ReplyDeleteGlad we don't have that now
ReplyDeleteYes, very similar to the surgeon's kits I've seen here at one of our museums. Ouch!
ReplyDeleteThis is both fascinating and disturbing to me at the same time.
ReplyDeleteSo much for the good old days.
ReplyDeleteLet me out of here!! Now!!
