Gothic Building

This heritage building in Moorgate now houses the Europe Arab bank.  Built around 1890 in a Flemish Gothic style, beautifully carved with six statues in the middle section of the carved corner.
Do any of you historians know anymore about the history of the building?

It's a Grade II" listed building built by Sir Aston Webb and Ingress Bell 1890-93.
Sir Aston Webb best known works include the Queen Victoria Memorial and The Mall approach to, and the principal facade of, Buckingham Palace, which he re-designed in 1913, Also the Victoria and Albert Museum's main building and Admiralty Arch (1908–09) among many others.
Ingress Bell worked in partnership with him for many years. Interestingly (to me at least)I found he was the architect of the Church in Guildford where I was Christened 65 years ago and also of the church in Caterham where my granddaughter was Christened last week.
I really enjoy your photos - thanks for posting them.
