Apple Day is all dressed up appearing to be a festival steeped in history. In reality it only dates back to 1990. However it is still a fun day near the end of October to celebrate everything about apples.
Learn and distinguish the different variety of apples, apple juice and cider. Cooking demonstrations and gardening advice are on hand. Toffee apples and apple bobbing add a bit of fun. Remember the old adage "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"? Maybe there is something in it.

I love Autumn for events like this. :)
Mackintoshes for me!
I made caramelised onion & apple with bacon & egg last night. Apple Day sounds like it should be an old festival.

What a nice event.
( I like the nice colours in this image.)
That red jacket and bowler are just about perfect for a man promoting apples!
