Red Crossing

The pedestrian crossing leading to the Menier Gallery  changed a couple of days ago.  It's not a new initiative to keep pedestrians save (although it might be a good idea for that), it is in fact part of an art installation "crossing stories" a fun way to hear the stories of local residents and workers.

Sounds like an interesting idea reading about it on their web site.

Not sure about that crossing, I'm used to the black & white stripped ones

I think it's definitely more noticeable than the black and white stripes Mo, I confess that on occasion, not often :) I've not stopped when I should have.

Great capture catching that red cab.

Love this. I wish it were done in more cities. Not only to keep pedestrians safe but also to bring some color.

Very interesting, though I am not sure I would cross on it - perhaps the drivers would not be aware that it was really a zebra in disguise!
