Working Class Windows

Tucked away on the south side of Blackfriars bridge is a small church with beautiful stained glass windows with a difference.  They all depict working life in the area.  There are two sets, those that were installed in 1959 when the church was rebuilt after being destroyed in WWII and another set of life in 1984.  They really are treasures worth stopping by to see.

What wonderful windows. I looked on my map and found a church labeled Christ Church on the map. I'm gong to add that to my list of places to visit.

An unusual subject for stained glass, but all the more impressive because of it.

Always great to see workmanship and windows, these are special.

All the best Jan

That is terrific. Usually stained glass is associated with upper class life when not with Biblical topics.
