Regarding your question, the old jail was closed as a prison in the early 1970s, and quickly converted into a youth hostel.
This is a delightful shot and I'm glad to know that London Bridge did not fall down - I've worried about that since I was a kid and first heard the song! :)
Well I certainly didn't see any sunshine today ... I ended up in some very heavy rain!Really appreciated seeing this lovely photo, thanks for sharingAll the best Jan
